Fitness Conventions and Expos 2017 – 2018 (UK Edition)

Hi All,

Last year I put together a post to detailing some of the top conventions in the UK fitness calendar.  This post proved to be so popular that I have decided to put together another one for some of the massive fitness events that are going on over the next 12 months.  As with last year I will be attending a number of them so give me a shout if you will be too!

 

16th – 18th March 2018 – Move Fit

This expo is held at ExCel in London that is focused on group exercise and all that Jazz!  The event has some massive classes were you can take part in sessions delivered by some of the master trainers from Zumba, Les Mills, Clubbercise and many more.  If you like GroupEx and are looking for a high energy event to attend, Move Fit is well worth a look.

24th – 25th March 2018 – International Fitness Showcase

This growing annual convention and trade show held in Blackpool is a great one to attend for all those in the North!  It has a good balance of both theory lead and practical lead sessions that covers all areas of the fitness industry.  The convention is aimed at those within the industry such as Personal Trainers, Fitness Instructors, etc…

28th – 29th April 2018 – FitCon

FitCon takes over the awesome Olympia in London for two days of health, fitness, beauty and nutrition.  This is a newer convention in the fitness world but has already made an impression.  This one really trys to bring together all aspect of a healthy lifestyle under one roof.

4th – 6th May 2018 – Be:Fit

This is an event aimed at the female fitness community of the UK, the event brings together an number of industry leaders who deliver talks and classes during the event.

9th – 10th May 2018 – Elevate

This is a convention that aims to bring together a number of groups in the world of exercise and fitness.  This is done with the aim of promoting higher levels of physical activity and lowering obesity.

11th – 13th May 2018 – Body Power

This is now a massive expo that is held at the NEC in Birmingham, it is mainly focused in on the worlds of strength, power and mass, and is open to both industry professionals and the public.  Over the past few years this convention has seen exponential growth! 6th – 7th June 2018 – Elite Sports Performance Expo

This is a relatively new convention aimed at all the strength and conditioning coaches, this expo is held at Excel in London and always features some of the worlds best trainers and S and C coaches.  It is free to attend and well worth a visit!

TBC 2018 – UKSCA

This conference is a great one for all of you that are involved with strength and conditioning, the sessions tend to be more technically focused.  The convention always has a great lime up of speakers from the world of Strength and conditioning, and if your into training people for sport it is well worth a visit!

TBC 2018 – Fit Pro

This is the oldest and most establish convention, it is aimed at Fitpros, it is held annually at Loughborough University and is made up of a number of a wide range of both practical and theory sessions form some of the leaders in our industry.  Well worth attending!

TBC 2018 – BP Fitness Trade Show

The BP Fitness Trade Show (the old LIW) is a well established convention held at the NEC in Birmingham, its focus is on facilities and equipment, so it is a great one to attend in 2018.  This will give all you fitness professionals the chance to have a look at and even a play with the latest gadgets in the fitness industry. It is going to be an interesting one this year as the first one run by the awesome team behind Body Power, I will be at this one for sure!

TBC 2018 – SFN Expo

This is one of the newer events in the fitness calendar, but promises to be a great event especially for those in Scotland as it id right on your doorstep!   The event has some great names already confirmed and looks to be a great couple of days with seminars, demos and a wide range of stalls!

TBC 2018- BASES

This is one for all the exercise scientists out there.  The venue changes annually and this year wll be in Nottingham.  The focus of this years convention will be sports psychology as it is paired with the FEPSAC convention.  This is a more theoretical convention aimed at those involved in academic levels of study.

  • Hello i am a personal trainer from staffordshire. We have a new fitness Aid that we have designed and weights that we have patanted and we were wondering what fitness convetion we could get involved with to show case our new product. Im also looking for some information regarding branding my own fitness class with the product we have designed.

  • Great Article Tom.really helpful. Im based in London and currently exhibiting my company StrongHer at MoveFit at the excel its new this year and there is one in Angel on the 26th April (for women only) called Be:Fit which is pretty popular.

  • Hi Tom, I hope you are well. Thanks for the great post. Very enlightening. I have a question. Last year I launched TENZING Natural Energy. It’s energy sourced from nature. 58 calories per can and nothing artificial. I would love to go to a tradeshow specifically with the goal to get in touch with gym managers and owners to increase distribution. Which show would you recommend? Thanks! Huib
